This is a new series I launched after my son’s second birthday. I am honored that my son has taught me a new word and that I have taught him a new way of thinking. While there have been many different ways my son has asked me, he has never asked me to teach him anything.
For this series I have provided a list of words that make sense in Thai, and I have translated them into English for his benefit. I have been doing this for the last six years. I’m not sure how much longer it will last, but it’s a long time to get away from the words we are taught.
For those of us with the same name, there is a surprising number of Thai words that make sense as English words, and some that don’t. For instance, I don’t think I have ever heard the word “dong” used in a sentence in Thai. Why not? Because it is not an English word, and Thai has only one word for that, dong.
I have also found that Thai speakers can seem rather reluctant to put “thai” in front of the word for “country.” In fact, many of the Thai words that sound weird as English words are actually very similar to English words. Sometimes you can get away with just using “country” when you are in Thai, but that can be a real pain if you don’t know the first thing about the language you are using.
This was a rather strange thing to be saying. I was referring to Thai farmers. For those unfamiliar with Thai, there are two types of farmers that you will find on the Thai countryside. The first type is the farmer who has a family that runs a small estate with a small plot of land. These people tend to have a small amount of land and also tend to be quite religious. They are usually quite well off, and also tend to be quite conservative.
In the Thai countryside, if a farmer has a house in a village, and he has a wife and children who are also farmers, then the wife is called the ma’am and the children are called the mai. The mam may be a young woman with two small children and a small plot of land. If the farmer is also a priest, then the mam may be a woman with children and a large amount of land.
As a farmer in Thailand, I can tell you that there are a lot of mams. Some of the mams are very young and the children are small and all very innocent. The mai are usually older, and the children are usually older. The mam may be very old with a large amount of land and a large amount of land to grow their crops. Their children may be very young and the young may not have a lot of land at all.
While I’m not sure if anyone is reading this, I’m pretty sure most people are not talking about the mam in this case. However, in Thailand they do have a few mams. We’re not talking about the mam in this article, but we are talking about the mam who has a large amount of land because their children are small.
Thai farmers are the farmers who grow rice in a small area. I don’t know if this is a common trait or if you are talking about the rare mam here in Thailand. Either way the mam may be very old.
There are a few mams who are large and have a large acreage, but I think this is more of a problem that affects the larger mams. The large mams tend to live in a very small area and have very small children. They’re not doing well with their growing up and are having a hard time taking care of themselves. Maybe there is some genetic thing which prevents the mam from being a good father.
